How to notify an agent with SMS messages.

This is a way for you to Hard Code a phone number into an HTTP post, to notify to one of your agents/Team Members.

Not only can you use our campaign builder messaging to send messages to contacts, but you can also send messages to your agents or anyone else you would like to send messages to. In this video, we show you how you can use SMS messages to notify your team of certain actions from within a campaign.

The process is simple. Go about making the message the way that you normally would when building an SMS message. Then copy and paste your message URL into the HTTP post you have in Infusionsoft. The part that will be different is who you are sending the message to. In the example our mobile field is Phone2. So when building my name/value pairs I use Phone2 as I normally would. Then instead of using the contacts phone field for the number I can use either the owner merge field for the phone number or simply hard code the actual number right in there.

The example would look like this:

  • Phone2 = ~Owner.Phone2~

  • Phone2 = 7606218199

Then all the other name/value pairs remain the same so that the contacts information is used in the message I'm sending to my agent. If you have more questions about this cool trick, feel free to reach out to our support team who can help you get this done.
